First of all you all must know what , when & why Earth Day is Celebrated

Earth Day is observed every year on 22 April across the globe to raise awareness about environmental protection and the issues that the planet is facing. Also known as International Mother Earth Day, it is an occasion to join hands and acknowledge the global climate crisis which needs immediate attention.

Theme 2025: 

     This year’s Earth Day theme is to 'Our Power, Our Planet.”

History and Significance:

The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970, when a United States senator from Wisconsin organized a national demonstration to raise awareness about environmental issues. Rallies took place across the country and, by the end of the year, the U.S. government had created the Environmental Protection Agency. By 1990, Earth Day was an event celebrated by more than 140 countries around the globe.  From then on, the United Nations celebrates this special day through a platform called ‘Harmony with Nature’ for global sustainable development on International Mother Earth Day.

World Health Day is a global initiative by the World Health Organisation (WHO)—is marked on April 7 every year to raise awareness about diseases and concerns, the significance of preventive care, and good health rising as a top priority.

Falling on a Monday, this year, the day is being celebrated under the theme “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures”, highlighting the importance of the health of mothers and babies forming the foundation of healthy families and communities, thereby helping to ensure hopeful futures for us all.

History of World Health Day
